Almond scionwood can be grafted onto almond seedlings but is more commonly grafted onto peach or plum rootstock because they are more widely adapted to various soil types than almond seedlings.
We offer a diversity of late blooming almond varieties.
Alenia - A hardy, late blooming thin shelled variety with sweet flavor. Needs another late blooming variety to pollinate, such as Dessertniy or All-in-One or Mission. It is also know as the variety 'Prima' and is a Ukrainian selection. Zone 5-9.
All-In-One - First self-fertile true almond variety. It is thin shelled and sweet, a late bloomer, making it less susceptible to spring frost. May need antifungal spray in wet climates due to susceptibility to disease. Does best in sunny locations on reasonably well drained soils. Zone 5-9.
Dessertniy - A true almond with a non bitter kernel and high yield. Late blooming to escape Spring frost, needs pollinator such as Alenia or All-in-One. It is also known as 'Bounty' and is a hardy Ukranian selection with a thin easily cracked shell. Zone 5-9.
NC-10 - This is a seedling selection of Titan almond made by Doug Campbell of Ontario, Canada. Average size nuts in a well-sealed shelled. This is our most dependable almond in our cool humid Western Washington location and has shown the greatest disease resistance. It appears to be self-pollinating. Zone 5-9.
