Very large Marron type nuts that are good flavored, keep well and ripen midseason. Gillet Chestnut Tree is compact and hardy to at least -20 degrees. Good pollinator. Originally a seedling planted by Bob Bergant. Discovered and named by Michael Nave after Felix Gillet, pioneer nut tree nurseryman.
