Carmine Goumi - Heavy yielding Pacific Northwest selected variety. The fruit has a pleasant, somewhat tart flavor with slight astringency when fully ripe. Fragrant yellow flowers cover the bush in March and draw many pollinators. It is a large shrub that grows to about 15 ft. A nitrogen fixer that tolerates maritime exposure. Zone 5-9.
Sweet Scarlet Goumi - Large fruited, this is an improved selection grown from cuttings. Durable, solid, large bush/small tree has hundreds of hanging, fragrant, soft yellow blossoms in May, then 3/4" gold-speckled red fruits with a small edible pit in early July. Deciduous and leathery dark green leaves with silvery undersides. Fixes nitrogen. Hardy to -25F.
