Medium sized brown skinned sweet fig. Hardy Chicago Fig is early ripening, able to fruit from stump sprout if frozen back over winter. Zone 6-10.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, warm & protected locations with balanced moisture. Reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly - a heavy feeder. Needs good drainage. Dormant prune for height and ease of harvest. Spur bearer. Only 1 crop (usually August) in cooler areas. Figs are fully ripe when they hang down heavily from the spur, feel heavy for their size, and the throat has a slight puckering to the skin.
