A spectacular clumping bamboo, pale culm sheaths alternating beautifully in a checkerboard pattern with the dark green canes. New shoots come up red and green early in the growing season and grow robustly upright to 13-20 feet. Ivory Column makes for excellent hedge material in sun or part shade. Hardy and wind resistant with very dense evergreen foliage. Also known by other names such as "Robusta', Campbell's Form'. or "Campbell'.
