A cross of Brigitta x Elliot, it is considered the most popular new variety by commercial growers due to its ability to produce large crops of big, firm and flavorful berries late in the season with very good keeping qualities. Liberty Blueberry is an especially vigorous northern highbush that may reach 8 feet if unpruned.

Full to 3/4 sun, balanced and regular moisture (especially in summer), acid soils - add peat moss or sulfur to increase acidity as needed. Reduce grass competition in root zone by applying 2-3" layer of wood chips. Apply aged manure under chips yearly. Cut out dead wood as needed.
