French variety with medium to large, easy peeling nuts with a single kernel within a shell. Marron Camballe is a mid to late season ripening chestnut. Seedlings start producing 4-8yrs after planting. Grafted/Layered trees start producing 3-5yrs after planting.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, balanced moisture, mildly acidic soils and good drainage.
CHILL HOURS: Medium: 400-500 hours below 45F
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Average, however, pure European Chestnuts are blight susceptible and are only recommended for the Western United States where blight does not occur.
