Persian White is a very sweet nonstaining white fruiting variety grown on its own roots.
ZONE: 4-8
POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Small, greenish to yellow flowers that bloom in the Spring in spikes.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Grow in full sun and compost-rich, well-drained soil with a pH between 5.5 and 7.0. Prune dead or weak branches and suckers growing from the base while plant is dormant in late Winter-early Spring. Mulberry trees are prone to “bleeding” when pruned, so avoid large cuts and prune during the dormant season to minimize sap loss.
CHILL HOURS: Requires 200 or more chill hours.
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Highly susceptible to leaf spot.
SIZE AT MATURITY: 50-60ft with equal spread.
