Newest release from OSU's breeding program. Polly O produces a very high yield of medium sized round nuts with excellent flavor, ripening early, a few days before Yamhill. Roasted nuts are easily blanched. Ideal for processing into granola, in baked goods, or mixing with chocolate! Good resistance to blight and big bud mite.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Needs pollinator: Wepster and McDonald are preferred. Incompatible with Tonda di Giffoni. Not preferred for Jefferson due to early pollen shedding.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, balanced moisture, mildly acidic soils and good drainage. Feed regularly for best nut production. Can be trained as standard with single stem, or allowed to grow as bush and sucker freely.
CHILL HOURS: Medium-high: 800 - 1000 hours below 45F
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Very good. High resistance to blight and big bud mite.
