Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Prefers mildly acidic soils. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest.

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Average. Resistant to crown gall, pear decline and nematodes, but sensitive to fireblight. Can show chlorosis in some Euro pear varieties.
