Detailed Description:
Large fruited, especially productive and flavorful selection from Siberia. Blooms in May, produces red fruits in early July, bears two years after planting. Red Gem™ Goumi tastes similar to pie cherries and has small edible pit.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: May. Partially self-fertile, but better with another variety.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 1/4 sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Spur bearer.
CHILL HOURS: Low: 50-450 hours below 45F depending on variety
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Above average. No known pests or disease problems.
