Somerset Hazelnut is a naturally compact tree or shrub that starts bearing very quickly. It has high yields of small to medium sized nuts with a thin shell. Nuts blanch well after roasting. It has demonstrated the highest level of Eastern Filbert Blight resistance of any commercial cultivar. The best pollinator is Grand Traverse, also compatible with the Beast™, Yamhill, Polly O, McDonald, and Wepster. Patented.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full sun, balanced moisture, mildly acidic soils and good drainage. Can be trained as standard with single stem, or allowed to grow as bush and sucker freely.

DISEASE RESISTANCE: Good. Excellent resistance to Eastern Filbert Blight.
