Small 4-6 ft. shrub with black, blueberry-sized, incredibly nutritious fruits in large, easily harvested clusters. Aronia berry juice is delicious if sweetened. White flowers in spring followed in fall by black berries & brilliant red fall color. Tolerant of wet sites, widely adapted, sun or shade. Self-fertile. Also known as Chokeberry.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 1/3 sun, regular balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Does well in wet soils and woodland edge environments. Summer prune for airflow and ease of harvest. Tip bearer. Tends to spread by suckering to form small patches.
