A very attractive broadleaf evergreen West Coast native tree. White flowers in spring followed by clusters of red berries in fall that are popular with birds. Reddish brown trunk, bark peels in irregular flakes. Resents disturbance. Prefers well drained site. Madrone can grow up to 100 ft. tall. Hardy to -7°F.
