Large, sweet, black fruit ripening over a long summer season. The Mojo Dwarf mulberry variety is a Japanese selection by H. Matsunaga. It won first prize at the Chelsea Flower Show where it was called "Charlotte Russe." Selection of round-leaved Morus indica, formerly Morus rotundiloba.
ZONE: Unknown, probably Zone 7 or colder.
POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Spring. Self-fertile. Leafs out very late.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 2/3 sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Will grow in wide-ranging soil conditions. Dormant prune to avoid sap bleed. Naturally dwarfing plant should require less pruning than larger cultivars.
