Called cherry plums for their cherry sized plum fruits. Myrobalan plum seedlings are vigorous, widely adapted and commonly used as rootstock for every type of plum. Fruits can be eaten fresh or made into jam.

Full sun, balanced moisture, reduce grass competition in root zone. Top dress with compost yearly. Will need regular summer water in dry regions. Summer prune for airflow, height, and ease of harvest. Mature trees comparatively small. Weak anchoring – stake for first 3-4 years.
