A midsized shrub, native to moist coniferous Pacific Northwest forests from Oregon to Alaska. Highly regarded for flavor, 2nd only to Mountain Huckleberry but, Oval Leaved ripens earlier. Pink, bell shaped flowers and red fall color.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Early blooming, April/May. Self-fertile. Dainty pinkish-white flowers.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Part to full shade, balanced moisture during establishment. Top dress with compost or forest duff yearly. No pruning required, however, pruning can encourage denser growth.
DISEASE RESISTANCE: Excellent.
