Evergreen groundcover, leaves turn a reddish tint over winter. The Red Candy Lingonberry has small red berries in clusters that are mildly sweet, blooming in spring for a summer crop. Often blooms midsummer for a fall crop as well. Extremely cold-hardy.

RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Full to 1/2 sun, balanced moisture, prefers acidic soils. Eliminate grass competition in root zone. Amend planting hole with composted wood and top dress with compost yearly; this plant demands soils high in organic matter. Summer water of 1" per week can increase yields. Some afternoon shade needed in hot summer areas. Light pruning of damaged or dead canes for first few years; mowing 1/2 of patch during dormant season every 2-3 years can invigorate plants of mature patch.
