| This is one of our best producers with a large, dark brown, seeds that peels very well. Silverleaf Chestnuts have a smaller tree form. Very good pollinator, starting early with early ripening. In California some of it's largest nuts have split husks, but that hasn't been a problem here in Washington. May be Japanese X European X Chinkapin. Also known as Eurobella Chestnut. |
