Large fruit of good quality. Very vigorous and quick to bear. Black currants have a higher antioxidant capacity and anthocyanin content than blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and red currants. Also high in Vit amins A & C. Titania has the best blend of quality, flavor, sweetness, and disease resistance of most named varieties. Will fruit in sun or shade, usually in July.

POLLINATION/BLOOM TIME: Early spring, but late enough to usually avoid frost damage to blooms. Self-fertile.
RECOMMENDED GROWING AND CARE:
Prefers moist neutral-to-acid soil high in organic matter and appreciates afternoon shade in hotter climates. Will fruit in sun or shade. Reduce grass competition in root zone by applying 2-3" layer of wood chips. Apply aged manure under chips yearly. Plants fruit on 1 & 2-year-old wood, so regular pruning to remove old branches is important.
